Biografie

Vincent Linderhof is an environmental and water resource economist. His research interests are on the nexus of water economics, environmental economics and food and nutrition security.
He is specialised in econometric analysis of household surveys (Living Standard Measurement Surveys and conducting surveys) using R, assessments with cost-effectiveness cost-benefit analyses and in economic modelling general equilibrium models, optimization models and nexus concepts using Stella or GAMS. He tries to combine his quantitative experience in participatory approaches such as the Transition Support System approach. Furthermore, he likes to provide trainings on environmental economic topics and to give guest lectures. His international research projects included:

  • Nutrition gap analysis for low- and middle-income countries using household survey data and econometric analysis;
  • Support to decision-making through economic analyses on water and environmental policy programs at national and international level;
  • Evaluation of economic instruments in water, environmental and nutrition policies (water pricing, taxation and payment for ecosystem services, incentives);
  • Scenario analysis for water, food and climate change including the nexus of food security-energy-water;
  • Cost effectiveness and cost benefit analyses of measures and programs of measures for the water and environmental policies (water, climate change and waste).
