J (Jian) Liu

I am studying the responses of potatoes to extreme weather events (e.g drought and heat). After graduating with an agricultural degree, I started my career in New Zealand Plant and Food research as a technician. Over the years, I gradually picked up data science skills through working experience and changed my role to modelling and data science. During my last role as a data scientist, I realise my passion is to use data science as a tool to investigate the interaction between plants and environments. Glad to be back at the university and deepen my domain knowledge.
