Education at Dairy Campus

Dairy Campus plays a key role in training the next generation of dairy farmers and professionals across the dairy value chain. In addition to innovation and research, education is central – with hands-on learning and knowledge sharing as its foundation.
Students from vocational, applied sciences and university programs (MBO, HBO and WO) come here for internships, graduation projects or to explore ideas in collaboration with researchers. This makes Dairy Campus truly unique worldwide: nowhere else are scientific research, practical trials and business-driven innovation projects brought together so seamlessly under one roof.
Practical learning
Dairy Campus is owned by Wageningen University & Research and, at the same time, forms a strong network with knowledge institutions such as Van Hall Larenstein, Aeres MBO, the Dairy Training Centre and the University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân. Students and trainees from these institutions make use of the facilities at Dairy Campus for competence-based practical learning.
Our modern practice barn is fully equipped for education and training, including facilities for hoof health, body condition scoring, feed production and forage harvesting techniques. Dairy Campus also offers unique opportunities for internships, graduation projects, and both fundamental and applied research.

Our mission is valorisation of the knowledge of Wageningen and to support participants of our programmes in their professional development. Dairy Campus therefore offers content based courses that focus on the Wageningen theme’s, and we offer trainings and courses that focus on development of skills and qualities.
