Selection Anne van den Ban Fund

Who can apply

A scholarship from the Anne van den Ban Fund is intended for outstanding students from low-income countries who have been accepted for a master's programme at Wageningen University & Research.

When selecting students, other sources of student finance are taken into account as much as possible, such as other scholarship programmes, earmarked donations, support from family and personal income. This enables a relatively large number of students to study or complete their studies. The scholarship may consist of a partial or full scholarship and is only available to prospective students. Students who are already studying in Wageningen with a one-year scholarship are not eligible for an Anne van den Ban scholarship.

Selection procedure

The board of the Anne van den Ban Fund Foundation, in collaboration with Wageningen University, selects students twice a year, based on recommendations from study coordinators and alumni working in low-income countries. The students receive full or partial funding for an MSc programme at Wageningen University. The fund does not consider individual applications. Therefore, interested parties must wait until an Anne van den Ban scholarship is offered. This happens in the spring around May. If you have not received an offer by 1 June, you have not been selected.
