Stress-free thesis preparation

This workshop helps you get more comfortable with citing and referencing. There’s no test, no preparation and no prior knowledge needed. You can simply come along, listen and learn. There’ll be no pressure; we won’t ask you questions or put you on the spot.

We’ll explore why referencing matters, how it helps you avoid plagiarism, and how to give proper credit to the ideas, words and images of others that you use in your work.

Who is it for?

The workshop is for WUR Bachelor’s and Master’s students working on an essay, report or thesis. This session is suitable for those who are new to referencing and those who would like a refresher.

What you’ll learn

By the end of this session, you will know:

• why referencing is important
• what to reference when writing your assignments
• how to construct references
