The Global Nutrition Group of Edith Feskens focusses on nutritional needs and interventions to improve health across the life span and across the globe. We concentrate research and training on nutrients, dietary patterns, and food systems with both a physiological and environmental focus.

Education by Global Nutrition

The group contributes to the curriculum of the BSc and MSc programs in Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University & Research. We offer courses on topics such as Nutrition across the life cycle, Sustainable diets across the globe, and Dietary assessment.

Chair Holder

Edith Feskens has been chair of Global Nutrition since 2018. Her research focuses on combatting malnutrition in all its forms, globally and in particular in low and middle-income countries, and trade-offs with sustainability. In addition, Feskens is co-director of the Gerrit Grijns Initiative and theme leader at OnePlanet. She is certified supervisor in Epidemiology and in Nutrition Sciences.
