Our group is highly committed to provide high quality education closely related to our research themes. Together with the Chair ‘Global Nutrition’, we are responsible for education on epidemiological and public health concepts and methods.

Prof. Ellen Kampman is a certified trainer for the Epidemiologie registratie A with the Netherlands Epidemiological Society (NES). You can find more information on this registration here.

Cancer has overtaken cardiovascular disease (CVD) as the leading cause of death in many parts of the world. It causes one in eight deaths worldwide. Global trends show that the majority of all cancer deaths occur in the low- and middle-income countries. Yet, cancer can be partly prevented and many of these deaths can be avoided.
