Biography

Biography

Climate- water and food related issues and solutions draw most of my attention. I would like to contribute to a sustainable world in which resilient systems can operate safely without harming the environment. If I am abroad, I enthusiastically explore a country’s culture and ecosystems and notice the values of these systems for the local people.

Currently I work on climate adaptation in rural areas, with a focus on the use and potential benefits of nature based solutions. I use the climate scenario's to identfy risks and study adaptation posibilities from plot to regional scales. In projects, we try to include all relevant sectors and stakeholders, like water, nature, economics and agriculture to come up with ideas and visions for create climate resilience societies.

Furthermore, I coordinate the WUR projects for the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) on the topic of Climate resilient urban and rural areas.
