Biography
In this role, he provides strategic direction and representation for WUR’s nature-inclusive transition agenda, advising across science groups and engaging with national and international partners. Previously, as Director of the WUR Knowledge Base Programme for Nature Inclusive and Landscape, he led a multi-million-euro strategic funding programme supported by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, enabling WUR institutes to deliver impactful research towards a more nature-inclusive society.
Skilled in strategic management and high-level partnership building, he has extensive experience in international programme leadership, policy advisory work, and multi-stakeholder facilitation across Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and North America. A native English speaker, he holds a PhD in Conservation Management, an MSc in Applied Entomology, and an MBA, and is recognised as an expert in knowledge-based facilitation and transition governance.
