Biography

Elske Brouwer-Brolsma is assistant professor at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University. Her research focuses on innovating dietary assessment methods, with special emphasis on dietary assessment during early-life and childhood. Dr. Brouwer-Brolsma is currently involved in several national and international projects on advancements in dietary assessment (Pride and Prejudice, 4TU-UIT-346), metabolic health (EU SWEET 774293), and early-life nutrition (Regiodeal - Prille start - de voeding van moeder en kind & Ausnutria Human Milk Project). Moreover, she is (co-) author of >60 peer-reviewed publications and is currently supervising 7 PhD-candidates. Moreover, she is co-founder of a patent on the use of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 to enhance executive functions (US Patent 9,707,242, Brouwer-Brolsma et al. (2017)).
