FK (Franshelis) Garcia, MSc

Franshelis Garcia is a lecturer and PhD researcher. After having obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Utrecht University she joined the Health and Society group at Wageningen University to teach several BSc and MSc courses in the field of Health and Health Psychology. Using both quantitative and qualitative methods she addresses topics related to stigma and coping with chronic illness. Her current research focuses on understanding the nature and impact of bariatric surgery stigma and the role of culture in shaping stigma.
