MJM (Martin) Poot

I am a bird ecologist and researcher in applied ecological studies on birds. I am an expert in waterbird ecology (especially seabirds and shorebirds), and bird migration. I have many years of experience in seabird surveys offshore, both aerial-based as well as ship-based, and expertise in studying flight movements of birds with radar, GPS-loggers, geolocators, and satellite transmitters. In the course of time, I have specialized myself in statistical data analysis, nowadays working mainly with R.
