I am an environmental engineer. After my first MSc on Environmental Biotechnology in Turkiye, I had a second MSc in Earth and Environment at WUR with a scholarship (2012-2014). I worked at the Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture in Turkey (2015-2020). Currently, I'm a researcher in Earth Systems and Global Change (ESC) Group at WUR (November 2024-November 2026). Meanwhile, I'm finalizing my PhD on "Modelling the effects of bio-based fertilisers use on air and surface water pollution at basin and European scales" at  WUR (2020-ongoing). My research focuses on linking two models: MITERRA-Europe and MARINA to estimate the nutrient (i.e. N and P) emissions to air and surface waters mainly from agriculture with a focus on bio-based fertilisers, and to assess mitigation options in Europe. I aim to contribute to the European environmental policy for sustainable nutrient management with my research output.
