R (Robert) Bergsvik, MA

Robert has a background in political science and international relations, with a specific focus on critical political economy and global governance. Originally from Norway, he has a master's degree in political science from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. As one of the two TRANSGOV project PhDs, he uses transparency as a launchpad for interrogating the nature and evolution of international climate finance. One of his main focus areas entail critically examining the effects of digitally-enabled 'radical transparency' on new forms of climate finance such as climate risk insurance in the context of adaptation and Loss & Damage finance.
