Biography

Biography

Shayegheh (Shaya) is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business at Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands. She holds a PhD in Business Economics from the University of Southern Denmark. She applies quantitative and mixed methods to explore the complexities of entrepreneurship and innovation for sustainability in SMEs. Her research draws on sociological and institutional theories and crosses disciplinary boundaries. She aims to connect theory and practice, and to create impact in both academia and society through her work. Her recent works have been published in reputed international journals, including Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, and Review of Management Science. She is currently involved in two European projects, CUES and InBestSoil, contributing to sustainability transitions through collaborative research and innovation. She is also a passionate teacher who inspires her students and contributes to the advancement of entrepreneurship for sustainability.
