Y (Yanning) Qiu

I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management Group, Wageningen University & Research (WUR). My current research topic is 'Standardised and scalable methods to quantify and characterise micro- and nanoplastics (MNP) in environmental compartments and matrices in the human body', funded by ZonMW.

I am particularly interested in integrating artificial intelligence into my research, employing techniques such as large language models (LLMs) and computer vision (CV) to enhance literature analysis and data processing.

Previously, I completed my PhD at WUR's Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Group, where my research focused on dryland resilience and ecological restoration.
