Chairholder
Harry Bitter is Chair of the Biobased Chemistry & Technology group. He explores methods to produce chemicals from biomass and biomass derived feedstocks. ‘Simply put: I make one molecule out of on another’, he explains. However, to do so more efficiently requires an integrated approach combining different fields of expertise. Bitter therefore combines chemical experiments with computational approaches within his group.
