The Meteorology and Air Quality Group studies the atmosphere in all its beauty and variety of phenomena and its relevance for weather, climate and air quality. In particular we deal with the atmosphere above land and how it relates to life and the environment.

Education by Meteorology and Air Quality

As a university group we are responsible for the education in subjects of Meteorology and Air Quality. We are involved in a number of BSc and MSc programmes at Wageningen University & Research. We teach courses for example at BSc Earth Systems Sciences, BSc and MSc Environmental Sciences and MSc Climate Studies. We also provide internship opportunities and training of PhD candidates.

Did you know
The Meteorology and Air Quality section runs three weather station sites, where we collect meteorological and air quality measurements.

The Meteorology and Air Quality Group at Wageningen University aims to advance understanding of atmospheric processes and their interactions with the Earth’s surface to address scientific and societal challenges. The group focuses on six themes, all related to weather, climate, and atmospheric composition.
