Are you already able to have a conversation in Spanish and do you know how to write and read simple texts? Ready to level up your Spanish and sound 'más auténtico'? ¡Perfecto! The Spanish 4 course will help you to turn everything you learned so far into real-world skills. With interactive lessons, fun activities, and plenty of practice, you’ll be speaking, reading, and writing with more confidence in no time.
Who is this course suitable for?
Spanish 4 is intended for anyone who has studied Spanish for 3 to 4 years at the HAVO or VWO level and who has had some contact with the Spanish language since then, either by taking a course or by living in a Spanish-speaking country for a while. This course is also intended for anyone who has completed our Spanish 3 course.
Did you take Spanish at HAVO or VWO level or have you acquired Spanish knowledge in another way? Then you may be eligible for Spanish 3. A free intake is required. This is a short phone conversation with the teacher to determine your level. Please email your phone number to into@wur.nl.
What will you learn?
From A1 to on the way to A2
This course will help you reach language level B1. After completing this course, you will be able to:
- have simple conversations on familiar topics in Spanish;
- understand the main points of simple texts;
- formulate a personal opinion easily;
- write texts and emails on familiar topics;
What will the classes cover?
You'll learn to speak more fluently and in more detail about the past, wishes, doubts, and future plans. You'll learn to give instructions, express emotions and opinions with nuance, and describe complex situations. Grammar-wise, you'll practice using the present subjunctive, the imperative, various conjunctions, formulating hypotheses, and the preterito pluscuamperfecto de idicativo.

This course is offered annually in February, April/May and September/October.

The course price does not include course materials.
Payment: We will send you an invoice by email on the day the course starts.
The course consists of eight lessons of one hour and forty-five minutes each week. You should also allow for two to three hours of self-study per week to reach the desired level. The maximum number of participants per group is 16.

To receive a Wageningen in'to Languages certificate, a minimum attendance of 80% is required. A diagnostic test is optional.
