The world-leading LightLab provides advanced, independent measurement services for greenhouse cover materials, screens, films and nets. Our equipment precisely maps light and heat properties – essential for energy-efficient and productive cultivation.

What can you do at LightLab?

What can you do here?

At LightLab, manufacturers, suppliers and growers can have their greenhouse cover and screening materials tested for light transmission, reflection, diffusion, thermal transmittance and condensation behaviour – under both dry and wet conditions.

Once testing is complete, you receive a detailed report with all relevant optical and thermal values. These data help you save energy, optimise crop performance and make well-informed choices in product development or material selection.

LightLab also supports certification and the preparation of reliable product specifications. In addition, we can provide simulation results and application advice. Turnaround times are agreed in consultation and depend on the type of material tested.

“LightLab's precise measurements provide insight into the performance of your materials and a solid foundation for product development.”
