Do you have trouble with English pronunciation and does this hinder your communication? Would you like to learn to speak English more clearly and fluently? This course will cover all aspects of pronunciation.
Who is this course suitable for?
The English Speaking & Pronunciation course is aimed at students who want to improve their fluency.
Course level: B2-C1 and up. Read more about the language levels (CEFR).
Admission requirements
To take this course you need an Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) score above 60. You can apply for the online OOPT by emailing us at into@wur.nl. Find out more about the OOPT.
What will you learn?
Course content
The course is very practical and will provide you with an opportunity to extensively practice your speaking and listening skills. All facets of pronunciation will be covered: individual sounds, word stress, emphasis in sentences, intonation, chunking, and pausing in English. You will work on articulation and emphasis. This course will result in a work plan so that you are fully aware of your stumbling blocks and challenges.

Payment: We will send you an invoice by email on the day the course starts.
If you register for an online course, you follow all classes online using the Virtual Classroom in Brightspace. If you choose a face-to-face course, all classes will take place at our location: Forum, Wageningen Campus.
This course consists of 8 classes of 1 hour and 45 minutes per week. You should count on about 2 to 3 hours of individual study per week.
Participants will have access to Brightspace, where all the required materials will be available.
You will receive a certificate from Wageningen in’to Languages if you attend at least 80% of the lessons.
