Do you want to learn French for a holiday or for your study or work? Did you take French in school, but it has become a little rusty? French 2 will quickly help you get back on track! The course focuses on practical skills and introduces you to French culture.
Who is this course suitable for?
French 2 is for everyone who has completed our French 1 course.
Did you take French at HAVO/VWO level or did you acquire French language skills in another way? Then you may also be eligible for French 2. A free intake is required. This is a short phone conversation with the teacher. Please email your phone number to into@wur.nl.
What you will learn

From A1 to on the way to A2
After this course, you will be able to:
- hold short, simple conversations about personal topics;
- understand the key information in everyday conversations about familiar topics;
- understand the key information in short, simple texts (brochures, advertisements);
- write short, simple messages or emails.
After completing this course, you can continue learning French with our French 3 course (level: towards A2). Learn more about the language levels (CEFR).

Grammar
In this French 2 course, we cover a range of grammar topics, including:
- Reflexive verbs
- Asking questions
- Adverbs
- The passé composé (simple past)
- Different negation forms
- The imperative
- The partitive article / quantities
- Personal pronoun as a direct object
- The futur proche (future tense)

- Location: face-to-face at Wageningen campus
This course is offered annually in February, April/May and September/October.

The course price does not include course materials.
Payment: We will send you an invoice by email on the day the course starts.
The course consists of eight lessons of one hour and forty-five minutes each week. You should also allow for two to three hours of self-study per week to reach the desired level. The maximum number of participants per group is 16.
If you register for an online course, you follow all classes online using the Virtual Classroom in Brightspace. If you choose a face-to-face course, all classes will take place at our location: Forum, Wageningen Campus.

To receive a Wageningen in'to Languages certificate, a minimum attendance of 80% is required. A diagnostic test is optional.
