Make your research stand out

Looking to increase the visibility and impact of your research? The Library supports researchers in showcasing and valorising their scientific work and analysing its impact.

Make your WUR output visible

Visibility

The Research@WUR portal offers a public, searchable overview of all research output at Wageningen University & Research. It is designed to showcase WUR researchers and their work, allowing anyone to browse researcher profiles and view publications. By showcasing your work on Research@WUR, you make your profile and publications findable for search engines and audiences worldwide, also for outputs not indexed in international databases.

Research@WUR helped me expand my scientific network, Dr Sylvia Brugman.

WUR has a complete infrastructure to showcase your research outputs to the world. All your scholarly outputs are registered in Pure, WUR’s Current Research Information System, including conferences, lectures, media appearances, prizes, projects, awards, and more. For detailed instructions on how to register your outputs in Pure, check the knowledge articles listed on the right.

Author profiles and networks

Author profiles

Maintaining an up-to-date author profile and engaging in research networks are key to increasing your visibility and impact as a researcher. Accurate profiles help others discover your work, connect you with potential collaborators, and ensure your publications are correctly attributed.

Analyse and track your impact

Analyse your impact

Research impact reflects the significance of your work, an important aspect in evaluations, funding applications, and career development. There are many ways to track and evaluate research impact, both within and beyond academia. The Library offers tools and guidance to help you gain insight into how your research is being used, cited, and discussed. Above all, we promote the responsible use of metrics, ensuring that quantitative indicators are interpreted in context and used alongside qualitative measures to provide a balanced view of research performance.

Your research, our support

Support
  • Would you like to better understand how your research is being cited or discussed beyond academia?
  • Are you preparing a funding application or narrative CV and want to highlight your impact effectively?
  • Would mapping your collaborations or benchmarking your performance help you plan your next research step?

As a researcher at WUR, you can turn to the Library's Research Support Team for expert support. We use advanced tools such as SciVal, PlumX and VOSviewer  to provide data-driven insights that help researchers to plan strategically, collaborate effectively, and make informed decisions.

Depending on your needs, we can deliver publication overviews, bibliometric analyses, Open Access insights, benchmarking reports, or data on policy and patent citations. To help you strengthen your research profile and collaborations, we can also map research networks using tools like VOSviewer, revealing connections across disciplines, sectors, and regions.

Beyond analytics, we offer individual support for preparing grant proposals and narrative CVs, ensuring your research output and impact are presented clearly and credibly. Our work is grounded in WUR's commitment to Recognition & Rewards and the Transition to Open Science, emphasising the responsible and transparent use of research metrics.
